Over 10 years ago, we set out to solve one of the biggest problems facing solar – panel soiling. We wanted to find a way to keep panels clean, maximize energy production, protect panel warranties, and increase revenue for system owners.
We knew there had to be a way to achieve our goals that didn’t entail deploying thousands of bristle-wielding workers onto high voltage rooftops across the world. When we realized there wasn’t, we created one. Enter, RST NightWash™.

RST CleanTech was established in 2013 and quickly became a global leader in automated solar panel cleaning. Since our inception, we have installed 4,000+ projects worldwide ranging in size from residential arrays to large-scale utility projects. Today our patented systems clean more than 2,000,000 panels each day.
We hold two patents that allow our systems to deliver water effectively and efficiently with no moving parts. Our technology has been closely inspected by a variety of panel manufacturers who have determined that RST’s NightWash system is not only effective but also meets their panels’ maintenance requirements and specifications.
We have offices in Israel, Spain, Italy, Chile, and the United States and our global team specializes in the solar PV industry and in automated operation and maintenance (O&M) solutions. Our deep industry experience, uncompromising commitment to quality, and expansive geographical reach allow us to maintain our position as a global leader in automated solar panel cleaning.
Manages 3 branches worldwide: RST Cleantech Middle East, RST USA, and RST Latin America. Roye holds a business degree from New York University. Roye has extensive experience in management of international projects, specializing for seven years in the solar PV industry, including management of the first solar projects in the global markets. He was in charge of government solar projects and city management across the country. In 2011 Roye began developing the RST system and in 2013 RST Cleantech was officially established.
Matthew brings over 15 years of renewable energy experience to the RST Team. Matthew started in the wind industry where he was instrumental in developing over 100MW of wind projects and constructing over 1.5GW of wind projects in both New York, Texas, California, Chile, and Mexico and served on the board of the California Wind Energy Association. More recently, Matthew managed both sales and operations teams for over 70 commercial/industrial solar projects in California. Matthew has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Bradley University and a Masters of Sociology from the University of Chicago.
Marcelo is the Board Member of several companies in Chile. He is also on the Board of the Chile-California Council. Previously he held several positions in the Chilean Government, the private sector, NGOs, and Universities. He was Chile’s first Minister of Energy, the CEO of the National Energy Company (ENAP), and the Vice President and GM of Vestas for South America. Mr. Tokman holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. degree in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley and a B.A. degree in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. He was the recipient of the 2017 LAC-CORE Clean Energy Award.
